Normas de la comunidad
Effective date: 2026-09-11 Version: 2026-09-11
Chord Collect's Community lets you publish songs and playlists, follow other musicians, and chat inside your Band Mode groups. These Guidelines describe what we expect from published content and how to report something that doesn't belong. The Community, including the Catalog Content published by our official account, is available only to signed-in members of the Service, for personal, non-commercial use (see Terms of Service §6).
1. What "Community" covers
- Songs and playlists you publish so other users can find and save them
- Catalog Content published by our own official account, "Chord Collect", which is clearly identified and cannot be impersonated
- Public profile pages, including your display name and published content
- Following other users and being notified of what they publish
- Group chat inside a Band Mode group, visible to that group's members
2. Content standards
When you publish to the Community or post in group chat, do not:
- Post content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes someone else's rights (see our Copyright Policy for copyright specifically)
- Harass, threaten, or bully another user
- Post content that is sexually explicit, graphically violent, or otherwise not appropriate for a general-audience music app
- Post spam, scams, or misleading song or playlist titles or metadata
- Impersonate another person, artist, band, or our official account
- Share another user's personal information without their consent
- Use automated tools, bots, or mass actions to follow, rate, message, or publish content, or otherwise manipulate Community signals such as ratings or follower counts
Publishing a song or playlist you created is welcome and encouraged. Publishing chord sheets you did not have the right to reproduce is not, and is separately handled under our Copyright Policy.
3. Automated screening and appeals
Images published to the Community, including avatars, group photos, and song image pages, are automatically screened by a moderation service, as described in Terms of Service §9. If your content is hidden by this process and you believe that was a mistake, you can appeal by contacting [email protected]. We review appeals and restore content we determine was flagged incorrectly. This process is separate from, and in addition to, the report-based process described in §4 and §5 below.
4. Reporting content
If you see a published song or playlist that violates these Guidelines, use the in-app "Report" action on that song or playlist. Reports are reviewed by our team. Reporting is a good-faith process, so please do not submit reports you know to be false.
We currently review and act on reports for songs and playlists. If you need to report a group chat message or another user's conduct and no in-app option is available for it yet, contact us at [email protected] with as much detail as you can provide (the group, the message or user, and the date).
5. What happens after a report
When a report is upheld, we may unpublish the content, warn the account holder, or, for repeated or serious violations, suspend or terminate the account, consistent with the Terms of Service §7 and §15. As with copyright notices, action taken on a report affects the published content itself. It does not extend to searching for the same content in other users' private libraries or removing it from them. Where you sent us a report and we act on it, we will let you know the outcome. If you disagree with a decision made about your own content, you may ask us to reconsider it by contacting [email protected] within a reasonable time, and we will review it again.
6. Your own content and audience
You control whether your songs and playlists are published to the Community, and whether your name is shown or you publish anonymously. You can unpublish content at any time. Note that unpublishing does not retract copies other users have already saved to their own library before you unpublished.
